Counselling

Sometimes life can feel like an uphill struggle, feelings of being stuck in a rut, a sense of meaninglessness, difficulty coping with loss and change, feeling disconnected, anxiety about the future, anger and resentment of the past...the list can go on and on and is as individual as you are.

While some clients come with diagnosed conditions and disorders the majority of issues that people bring to therapy revolve around purpose, meaning and authenticity. Living a rich and fulfilling emotional life, turning insight into action, moving from one stage of life to another and navigating relationships. These are the issues and challenges that are common to those leading a reflective life, asking questions and traveling a path of restoration and transformation.

Counselling aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing pain or making you feel uncomfortable. I provide a safe, confidential and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult situations, circumstances and feelings.

Counselling is a commitment and can often involve talking about difficult and painful feelings, things often feeling worse before they get better. It may not feel like it at the start but I believe that making that commitment is a real act of bravery and strength that can be built on. With the help and support of me as your therapist you can start to feel better, have different perspectives, understandings and feelings about both yourself and your life.
